Chimney Top — Caps, Covers & Draft

The top of the chimney is the single most cost-effective place to spend money well — a correct cap and a sound chase cover keep water out, and water is what destroys masonry from the inside. TSE leads with alloy and gauge: stainless and copper because they outlast the chimney, with galvanized offered as the honest budget floor and labeled as such. Every cap, cover, and damper here is sized to your flue from a measurement, never a guessed stock fit.

Liner & Firebox

The category where TSE draws its hardest line: the high-consequence liner systems are install-only, because a relining job is a fire-safety system, not a box you fit on a Saturday. Alloy is the whole conversation — 316Ti for wood and high heat, 304 where the fuel allows. We supply the firebox repair components and accessory hardware, size every liner to the appliance listing, and install to UL 1777.

TSE's premium angle on appliances is efficiency-and-correctness: the sealed, EPA-/listing-correct unit and the venting that goes with it, not the cheapest firebox. Copper Chase Cover (Custom-Fabricated)

Solid-copper chase top, fully sloped and standing-seamed, cut to fit your exact chase so it sheds water instead of pooling it. Copper never rusts and never needs replacing, so it ages to a patina rather than streaking a stain down your siding, and over the life of the house it costs less than the galvanized cover you would end up redoing twice. We template the chase in person before we fabricate, because a cover that is only close is a cover that leaks. While the crew is up top setting it, they can knock out the sweep, cap, and dryer-vent check in the same visit.

Sheet-metal shroud sized to your chase to dress up a bare capped chimney and finish the roofline properly. You choose the treatment: powder-coat or copper, corbel or hip-roof styling, proportioned so it looks right from the street rather than tacked on. We measure it to your chimney instead of dropping a stock cap on a custom home and calling it finished. Ask the crew to handle the chimney sweep and any masonry the same trip so it is one visit, not three.

Integrated Crown-Cap Unit (Drip-Edge Crown + Cap)

Full stainless top that caps every flue at once and overhangs the crown to throw water clear of the masonry, so instead of patching concrete that will crack again you seal the whole top in steel that keeps rain off for good. Before we sell it we tell you straight whether the crown needs repair first or whether the cap by itself solves the problem. Since the crew is already on the roof, they can sweep the flue and run the dryer-vent airflow test on the same appointment.

Powered Draft System (Enervex / Exhausto Inducer + Modulating Control)

Roof-mounted variable-speed fan with a sensor control that mechanically pulls smoke up a stubborn flue and holds a steady draft. This is the last thing we reach for, not the first: nine times out of ten a height correction, a cap swap, or a properly sized liner fixes a draft problem for less money, so we diagnose the fault before we ever quote the fan. When the geometry genuinely cannot draft on its own, this is the engineered answer, commissioned so it actually stops the smoke-back instead of hiding it. We can look at the whole chimney and the vents while we are diagnosing.

Cast-In-Place Liner Restoration (GoldenFlue / Supaflu-Style)

Cementitious cast-in-place system with a form and bladder plus mortar that rebuilds a deteriorated flue in place, restoring a smooth, insulated, code-rated passage inside the existing masonry. This is the answer for a historic or oversized flue where a stainless liner just cannot be sized in, and done right it is permanent and it strengthens the chimney. We never sell it as materials, because it lives or dies on the install. A camera inspection comes first, and we can handle the sweep and dryer-vent check the same trip.

Stainless Steel Flexible Liner Kit — Full (316Ti / 304)

Complete 316Ti or 304 stainless flex liner with cap, top plate, tee, connector, and clamps to reline a masonry flue for wood, gas, or oil. Alloy is the whole conversation: 316Ti for wood and high heat, 304 where the fuel allows, and we tell you which one your appliance actually requires rather than sell the lighter grade to save a dollar. A Level-2 camera inspection comes first, then we size the liner to the flue and the appliance and insulate it. Supply-and-install only, because a flex liner kinked or under-clamped on a DIY pull is a flue fire waiting to happen. We can pair the reline with the sweep on one appointment.

Gas Fireplace Insert — Direct-Vent Sealed Combustion

Sealed glass-front gas appliance that drops into an existing masonry firebox for high-efficiency, room-rated heat, the way to turn a drafty open fireplace into a real heater. Sealed combustion means it stops pulling your heated room air up the chimney, and direct-vent means it draws and exhausts through a coaxial pipe we run and seal. Install-only, because the gas line, the vent run, and the block-off are all safety-critical, so this is a job and not a delivery. While we are at your home for it, the crew can also handle the sweep, the ducts, and the dryer vent.

Sealed steel or cast-iron wood insert that converts an open masonry fireplace into an efficient, clean-burning heater, the difference between a fireplace that loses heat and one that makes it. We install it the right way, with a full-height insulated stainless liner and a sealed block-off plate, which is exactly the step bargain installers skip and the reason their inserts smoke and underperform. Since the crew is already out, they can take care of the dryer vent and ducts on the same visit.
